Dang those tasty snacks and beverages!! I had TOO MUCH!! Someone needs some stinkin restriction. I did feel full which was a first for me. It was actually a painful feeling just under the front of my ribs. It was just not good. I swear I had a whole day's calories just at that party.
Now for the good news. I ate WAY less than I have before at these types of things. I had protein first...and second... And I was not able to go overboard as I would have before. But still disgusted with myself. Damn chocholate covered pretzels. Today is a new day.
Eggs for breakfast and some coffee. I need to get on the water train. I'm appauled at myself. I need to do so much better with this. At my last appointment my dietician said to wait 60 to 120 minutes to drink after eating. WHAT?! 2 freakin hours? By the time I remember to drink something I'm ready for a snack. -or am I super thirsty? Such a vicious cycle of hunger and thirst and I'm the idiot in the middle who can't figure it out.
No real loss for the week. My weight jumped around on the scale this week. Up and down. I'm going to try to hydrate better this week and see how that helps.
Happy Monday ;)
I was always told I only had to wait 30 minutes AFTER a meal to drink. They said that the before didn't matter because liquid goes straight through the band so it won't effect your food. That sounds like too long to wait. I would never get my water in if I had to wait that long after meals. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteOMG, I soooo overdid it at my Super Bowl party too. There were so many yummy things I never get to eat--lots of hors d'oeuvers and snacks. Just too much temptation. Today is a new day!
ReplyDeleteI have been told 30 minutes before (makes your band slippery and food slides through easier) and 30 minutes after. I set a timer on my cell phone for the 30 minutes after so I can get right on the water drinking. I am trying so hard to get in at least 100 ounces a day.

Today is a new day - and water is a good thing! I have also heard thirty minutes..
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific week!
I tend to wait about 30 - 60 minutes after I eat, but then I currently have a bit of restriction and know that that is the minimum amount of time I need before it will actually go down :o) Don't be afraid to follow your instincts. If you are thirsty - then drink some water.
ReplyDeleteI drink whenever I want. *BAD RONNIE!* But it hasn't proven dangerous thus far, so I'm just going with it. :) Then again, doing the Sip & Gulp challenge, I don't have much of a choice about drinking - I gotta DO it! :)
ReplyDeleteAs for hunger, try drinking first and if you find that makes your stomach grumble, I'd go ahead and assume you're genuinely in need of some food. That's how I judge, because I know sometimes I really am, but sometimes it's just my thirst talking. :)
